Inpatient Hospitalization
We provide 24-hour mental health and substance use treatment and care for adolescents and adults in an acute inpatient setting. The caring, multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, medical physicians, nurses, master’s-level clinicians, social workers, discharge planners and direct care staff develops and implements individualized treatment and discharge plans in collaboration with the patient.
Our specialty-trained professionals offer services that may include medication management, nursing care, medically supervised detoxification, group therapies, therapeutic activities, and comprehensive discharge planning. The primary modality of group therapy covers topics such as coping skills, stress management, nutrition, personal safety and relapse prevention. It may include elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Individual and family therapy may be offered as needed.
Outpatient Programs & Services
Our convenient Branches locations offer outpatient programs and services for adolescents and adults. The right outpatient level of care may depend on the patient’s individual needs, preferences and funding resources. Virtual telehealth options may be available.
Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)
PHP is an intensive, highly structured, full-time day treatment program that promotes healthy skill development through evidence-based group therapies. It offers support for patients remaining in or returning to the community while facing the stress of daily life. PHP requires approximately five days (six hours each) of attendance each week, for up to two to three weeks for most patients.
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)
IOP is a part-time treatment program that is less intensive than PHP and that also promotes healthy skill development through structured, evidence-based group therapies. These programs offer more intensive outpatient treatment and support for the patient while remaining in or returning to school or work. The co-occurring mental health and substance use IOP is also designated as Structured Outpatient Addiction Program (SOAP) by some resources. IOP requires three days (three hours each) of attendance each week, for up to two to three weeks.
Traditional Outpatient Services
We offer individual, couples and family psychotherapy/counseling and medication management for all ages, as well as Suboxone® treatment for adults at our Branches, Jamaica Plain location. Availability and/or wait-lists may vary for these services.
