Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program

If your teen is having severe emotional or behavioral issues, the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) at Arbour Hospital could be the solution they need to improve function at home, school and in the community.

Full-time Day Treatment for Adolescents

Arbour Hospital’s adolescent outpatient treatment provides therapeutic day treatment for adolescent ages 12 to 17 and adolescents aged 18 who are still in high school. The goal of the program is to prevent inpatient hospitalization or to support the transition from an inpatient facility back into the youth’s home or residential program.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program

Our PHP provides intensive treatment for patients during the transition following an inpatient program or when traditional outpatient therapy alone is not enough.

The program is located in Jamaica Plain on Green Street and held Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with lunch and tutoring provided.

Our multidisciplinary treatment team may include psychiatrists, social workers, case managers and therapists, and treatment may include:

  • Coping skills development
  • Peer support
  • Family involvement
  • Goal setting
