The Joint Commission standards deal with organization quality, safety-of-care issues and the safety of the environment in which care is provided. If you have concerns about your care, we would like to hear from you. You may contact us directly here.

Department of Mental Health

Arbour Hospital is licensed as an inpatient hospital through the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH). We work closely with DMH to ensure we are not only meeting their standards of care, but also the behavioral health needs of the community and state.

Bureau of Substance Addiction Services

Arbour Hospital’s inpatient and outpatient substance use (SUD) and dual-diagnosis programs are licensed through the Department of Public Health’s Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS).
