What to Expect

Arbour Hospital provides compassionate care in a structured, comfortable environment. We want patients and their loved ones to be informed and engaged participants in their treatment experience. Read below for information on what to expect during admission and treatment.

Instructions for Patients and Visitors

  • Patients and visitors are informed of approved personal belongings prior to admission (see overview below).
  • Limited items of clothing, schoolbooks, and small amounts of money are the only items that can be brought to patients during visitation.
  • Home medications are checked by the admitting nurse.
  • Controlled medications and substances are sent home or secured in the hospital safe.
  • Special creams, ointments, and inhalers are labeled and stored on the medication cart if approved by the treating physician.
